AYURWAY WELLNESS COVID-19 SAFETY POLICIES & PROCEDURES

At Ayurway Wellness, we are committed to ensuring the health and safety of our members, guests, and employees. We strive to provide a safe, relaxing atmosphere to help you with your wellness needs especially in these unprecedented times. As we open our doors, we will be implementing new COVID-19 preventative measures to maintain a clean and safe environment for everyone.

 

Ayurway Wellness will offer limited services until further notice. Each session will have a maximum time limit of 60 minutes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Below we have listed out the new measures to expect when making, arriving, and at your appointment.

 

 

 

What to Expect When Making Appointments:

  • Appointments will be scheduled over the phone/e-mail. No walk-ins will be permitted.

  • Credit card information will be required to hold the appointment.

  • Discount vouchers will be redeemed on the day of the scheduled appointment.

  • Given new limitations and protocols, the schedule is likely to fill up quickly. We will try our best to accommodate your needs.

  • Please bring/wear a mask to your appointment. We will have surgical masks available for purchase for $1.00 if you need one.

  • Only bring what you need for your appointment.

  • All sessions will have a maximum time limit of 60 minutes. If you are late to your appointment, your session will still end at the scheduled time out of consideration for the next client.   

  • You may reschedule an appointment for a treatment session without charge up to 24 hours preceding the appointment. Any cancellation made on the day of the scheduled appointment will be charged 50% of the scheduled service price. If you do not call to reschedule the appointment or do not show up for the scheduled appointment, the full price of the scheduled service will be charged. Given the new circumstances, there will be no exception to this policy. Our staff is taking extra time and effort to safely meet the needs of clients. Please be respectful of this and kindly inform us if you need to reschedule up to 24 hours preceding the appointment.    

  • You may reschedule an appointment for a one-hour Ayurvedic consultation with our Vaidya, or Ayurvedic practitioner, without charge up to 24 hours preceding the appointment. Any cancellation made on the day of the scheduled appointment will be charged $25.00. Please note that all consultations will be conducted over the phone until further notice.

  • As always, please inform your therapist of any special medical conditions to ensure a safe and healthy experience.

  • We will be pre-screening all clients prior to the appointment to ensure that they are not exhibiting any symptoms. We urge anyone that has mild cold or flu-like symptoms to stay home to help protect others.

  • If at any time our Ayurway Wellness staff feels that the health of our team or the client has been compromised, the service will be suspended.

  • If you enjoy your session and wish to show appreciation to your therapist, gratuities can be left in cash or by credit card payment during checkout.

What to Expect When Arriving for Appointments:

  • No guests are permitted at this time – excluding a parent or required assistance if necessary. To the extent possible, we will ask individuals accompanying a client to wait in the car.

  • Please call 703-865-8989 when you arrive for your appointment, as the front door will be locked at all times. Please wait in your car until a team member comes outside to meet you.

  • Prior to entering the building, you will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms and required to read and sign a COVID-19 liability waiver form. A temperature check will also be done using a non-contact forehead thermometer. If you are sick or show signs of being sick, we will kindly ask you to reschedule the appointment.

  • Staff and clients will be required to wear masks at all times in the building.

  • You will be required to sanitize your hands upon entering the building, after which a team member will direct you to the treatment room.

  • The number of clients and therapists in the building at one time will be limited. When possible, please practice social distancing. 

  • Bottled water will be available in the treatment room.  

  • To the extent possible, all payments will be charged to a card provided at the time of scheduling the appointment. If you prefer another method of payment, please let us know.

 

What to Expect from the Ayurway Wellness Team During Appointments and Throughout the Facility:

  • Prior to starting shifts, staff will be required to take their temperature and ensure that they are not exhibiting any symptoms.

  • Protective barriers will be in place by the reception desk and staff will be wearing gloves, in addition to masks, in the reception area.

  • In addition to masks, therapists will have on face shields during sessions.

  • All common spaces including the reception area, restrooms, and frequently touched surfaces will be cleaned and disinfected prior to the first session of the day and in between clients.

  • All restroom surfaces including floors, sinks, and toilet bowls will be cleaned and disinfected after every client. We will store all paper products in a closed cabinet as well as provide antibacterial hand soap.

  • Treatment rooms, including massage tables, will be cleaned and disinfected before and after every client.

  • Staff will use effective hand washing techniques (put in place by the CDC) and will frequently wash their hands including after using the phone, computer, and credit card machine. They will also wipe these surfaces down after every use.

  • We will use an EPA-approved disinfectant and maintain a cleaning and disinfecting schedule for all areas of the facility. All employees have been trained on the CDC cleaning and disinfecting guidelines.
